Xena proves to be a courageous leader in her twenties, when she has motivated a small band of villagers and her brothers in order to fight against the warlord Cortese. She follows the path of evil when her beloved brother is killed by warlord Cortese. She was banished from her home and becomes estranged from her mother as result.

Xena joins forces with warlord Borias and the two become lovers after some time. She becomes pregnant of Borias what results in the birth of their son Solan. She becomes warlord of their alliance and stops after Borias is killed in an battle. The death of Borias was one of the turning points in her life and brings the newborn Solan to the Centaurs. They let him grow up safely and protecting him till he's older.

She became known and feared across the world as warlord, who raided numerous countries as China, Siberia, Japan, Norway, Britannia, and Greece. She became later captain of a pirate ship which does everything from raiding of other ships till keeping hostages for ransom. Her infamous name in piracy and terrorism earned the titles ''Warrior Princess'' and ''Destroyer of Nations''. 

Xena continues life as warlord for many years until she met the Greek hero Hercules. She has a life-changing encounter with him wherein she landed on the good path. She begins her journey to fight for the innocent, after she was redeemed by Hercules. She turns against her troops which do everything to kill her. She travels with Hercules for a short time and the two share a brief romantic relationship. The two form a special friendship while their romance does not last long.

Xena meets Gabrielle after she has rescued an group of village girls from the hands of a band of warriors. Gabrielle has awe for her Warrior Princess abilities and becomes her traveling companion. They both travel around the world and fight against everyone who threatens innocent people.

Gabrielle and Xena become best friends, soulmates and indeed constant companions. Gabrielle becomes a hardened warrior and Xena develops a softer and more loving personality to balance with her warrior's heart. Her son Solan who never knew who is his mother, is killed by Gabrielle's demonic child named Hope. Xena her subsequent life is marred by many tragedies and the most serious is of course the death of her son.

Xena has enemies as the formidable warrior woman named Callisto, whose family was killed by Xena, years ago. Ares is also an enemy  who tries to seduce her in order to become his warrior queen.

She encounters the young, handsome and brash Roman nobleman named Julius Caesar after she has abducted the crew of his ship in her time as pirate. He's an experienced warrior and military commander with grand ambitions. The pair get a passionate love affair and plan to join forces. However he betrays her later when she and Gabrielle are crucified by the Romans on the Ides of March by Caesar. They both hang on a gallow, but the girls survive because they are saved by Egyptian slave girl M'Lila. Their lives are revived by mystic Eli and the spiritual aid of Callisto who's an angel, after she is killed by Xena. This event has long-lasting effects for all involved and the mentioned above leads to the birth of Xena's daughter Eve, who's the reincarnation of Callisto. Mother and daughter have little time together unfortunately because the gods want to destroy the child. She is prophesied in order to bring the Twilight of the Olympian gods and the birth of Christianity.

Xena was responsible in the past for the death of four-hundred people in a village and these souls were captured by an evil entity. Her quest for redemption ends when she sacrifices herself, in order to kill the Japanese demon Yodoshi (Error: a Japanese army kills her and her spirit kills him). She decides to stay dead so the souls of the 40,000 persons she has (accidentally) killed can be released into a state of peace.

• Her signature weapon is the chakram a circular razor-edged weapon which she often uses for combat from distance. The chakram can be used to distract enemies and to cut targets from distance.
• She is also a master swordsman and is capable to wield other weapons.
• She is a formidable tactician and strategic thinker and has the ability to analyze enemy tactics. 
• She shows a great deal of creativity and ingenuity to respond on enemy attacks.
• She is well versed in military tactics as forming a defensive perimeter, building defensive fortifications, organizing and leading troops and cutting of enemy supply lines.
• She has extensive knowledge of first aid and herbal remedies and can compete with any professional healer.
• She is  a master of disguise and has unique knowledge in history, philosophy, magic and has talents for infiltration and codes.
